Paper Submission Instructions

IEEE LANMAN 2016 solicits paper submissions of Regular Papers (up to 6 pages + 1 optional extra page) and Short Papers (up to 2 pages). The short papers will be presented in a poster session. Also, some of regular paper submissions may be accepted as short papers by the TPC. The page limits include all figures, tables, and references. All papers must be electronically submitted in PDF according to the guidelines in the symposium website http://www.ieee-lanman.org. The papers of the symposium will appear on IEEE Xplore. Best Paper Award will be given to the paper(s) with the highest technical merit. The paper submission site is http://www.cse.unr.edu/~yuksem/lanman16/.

All IEEE LANMAN 2016 technical papers and posters must be associated with an author registration at the full rate (information about registration is reported here. For authors presenting multiple papers/posters, one full registration is valid for up to three papers/posters. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper/poster from distribution after the symposium (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper/poster is not presented at the symposium.

Formatting Guidelines

All papers must be in English. Long papers must be no longer than six (6) pages (no cover page) in double-column format with standard margins and at least a 10 point font (IEEE template). This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth. Short Papers must be no longer than two (2) pages (no cover page) in double-column format with standard margins and at least a 10 point font (IEEE template). This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth.

Camera-Ready Submission Instructions

  • Final Camera Ready Papers must be in English.
  • Papers must be no longer than six (6) pages (no cover page) in double-column format with standard margins and at least a 10 point font (IEEE template), except as noted below. This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth.
  • At most one extra page length can be purchased with a fee of $100. Papers longer than seven (7) pages will not be accepted.
  • Provide an abstract of fewer than 200 words.
  • Do not number the pages.
  • Author Bios are not needed.

  • We must be able to display and print your submission exactly as we receive it and using only standard tools and postscript printers, so we strongly suggest that you use only standard fonts.
  • Make sure that the paper prints well on black-and-white printers, not color printers. This is especially true for plots and graphs in the paper.
  • Make sure that the output has been formatted for printing on LETTER (8.5" by 11") size paper.
